Sell as a Contractor to Galleria Texana

If you’re interested in selling your items through Galleria Texana, you will operate as a vendor. with Galleria Texana subject to Terms of Agreement. This partnership allows you to benefit from our established auction platform and global reach. Below are the terms and processes you need to know:

Terms of Agreement

Before listing any items for sale, both parties must agree to a seller's contract outlining responsibilities, commission rates, and expectations for quality. All items must meet Galleria Texana’s standards to ensure they appeal to our collectors and buyers.

Shipping Responsibilities

Buyers choose shipping Options Available to them offered by Galleria Texana. Note: Options vary with location of both buyer and Vendor. The vendor is responsible for handing over the merchandise to either: 

  1. FULL SERVICE (available if VENDOR lives in the United States and BUYER lives in the United States, Canada or Europe  (Mexico currently is NOT Available with this Option) or

  2. “E LABEL” VENDOR securely packaging and shipping delivering items to a FedEx Store in VENDOR’s region after receiving a Shipping Label from Live Shipping Auctioneers or

  3. ”HYBRID SERVICE” suitable for specialty shipping such as climate controlled or a combination of small local couriers, local pick ups and shipping lines that serve other international countries not served under option 1 (FULL SERVICE).

Each lot is publicly posted to buyers as to which options are available and VENDOR preferred. Each Option covers Insurance and Customer Service throughout the shipping period.

​Sales Tax Collection and Payments

Galleria Texana handles the collection and payment of sales tax, where applicable utilizing the auction platform contractor. Sellers should be aware that taxes may be deducted from the final net sale price, depending on the buyer’s location and relevant tax laws. Collected Sales Tax, where applicable, is paid directly to the Galleria Texana’s Texas State Comptroller.

Information We Need from You

To ensure a smooth selling process, we will need the following details about your items:

  • Item Descriptions: Detailed and accurate descriptions, including materials, origins, and any historical or cultural significance.

  • Photos: High-quality images showcasing the front, back, and any unique details.

  • Condition Reports: Notes on any wear, damage, or restoration.

Schedules

Once your items have been accepted, you’ll receive a detailed auction schedule outlining the auction prep, preview period, sale dates, and post-auction processes.

Commission

As a vendor, you’ll receive the final sale price commission stated in the agreed Terms of Agreement Contract. â€‹â€‹

​​​Data and Simple Forms

Sellers are required to submit a complete data and photo for each item. This simple form must include detailed descriptions, accurate dimensions, materials,  flaws, and photos. Known facts about a piece such as where it is from, its style, its brief history helps. Galleria Texana uses this information to create detailed listings for the auction.

Pricing

Galleria Texana will work with you to set competitive pricing based on market value according to FAIR MARKET TRADE STANDARDS, condition, and buyer interest. Reserve pricing (minimum price for sale) may be established by the vendor for high-value items.

Quality Standards

To maintain our reputation for excellence, we require all items to meet specific quality standards. Items should be authentic, well-preserved, and culturally or artistically significant. Galleria Texana reserves the right to reject items that do not meet our criteria.​​

​Auction Prep, Preview, Sale

  • Auction Prep: Galleria Texana will professionally prepare and list your items in an on-line platform, ensuring they are accurately described and showcased with high-quality images.

  • Preview: Buyers will have the opportunity to view items online during a preview period before the auction begins.

  • Sale: Once the auction starts, bidders can compete for your items. At the conclusion, the highest bidder wins the item, and you will be notified of the sale.​

Payments, Schedule, and Reports to Sellers

After the auction, Galleria Texana’s On-Line Platform provider will handle all buyer payments. Buyer will receive a detailed report outlining the final sale prices, and applicable deductions such as shipping costs or taxes. Payments are processed typically within 5 days after the auction closes. Vendors are paid within the same time-frame as buyers (typically 5 days after the sale allowing time for merchandise to get shipped to Buyers first) directly from Galleria Texana.
